Помогите употребить правильное время.

Do you know anyone who 1 (meet) a famous person? I do. A woman I 2 (meet) last night at a party said she 3 (be) a close friend of Madonna's. At first I didn't believe her but when she started given me details I began 4 (suspect) she might 5 (tell) the truth. She could describe the house where Madonna 6 (live) she knew all the men Madonna ever 7 (go out) with and so on. I 8 (surprise) by the effect her stories had on the public. All the guests who until then 9 (dance and chat) gathered around her as soon as she mentioned Madonna's name and did nothing but 10 (listen) to her for the rest of the evening. 11 (look) at the woman more carefully I noticed she 12 (be) very plain and ordinary the time that nobody 13 (notice) otherwise. This made me 14 (think). Maybe she was neither a friend of Madonna's nor a fan but this was just a techique she used to attract the interest she couldn't 15 (get) in any other way.
