Present simple or present continuous

I (write) to you from Italy. I (be) on holiday with some friends. we (stay) at a beautiful hotel in Venice.

The sun usually (shine) brightly all day at this time of year, but it (rain) at the moment

My friends and I (be) never bored. There are so many things to do here and we (try) hard not to miss anything. We (have) a snack right now, and we (wait) for the rain to stop. Everyone (have) a great time.
