A timid little man was introduced to a deaf old lady in a room full of people.

Unfortunately the old lady didn't catch his name.

'What is your name again?' she asked.

'Bloggs,' whispered the little man.

'What?' she asked again.

'Bloggs,' said the little man.

'I didn't catch it,' she said.

'Bloggs, Bloggs, Bloggs,' he answered, raising his voice louder each time.

'What?'

'B-L-O-G-G-S,' cried the little man at the top of his voice.

'I can't catch it,' she said, 'all I can hear is something that sounds like Bloggs.'
